Single Touch Payroll (STP) is Here and AFFECTS EVERYONE - ACT NOW!

If this is news to you go straight to our STP update.

The deadline to adopt Single Touch Payroll (STP) on 1 July 2019 for all businesses in Australia with 1 or more employees is fast approaching. STP is an ATO initiative that requires the employer to report salaries, wages, PAYG withholding and superannuation obligations to the ATO each time they pay employees.

This means instead of usual PAYG reporting obligations, employers will send the information direct to the ATO after each pay run, and have a compliant accounting system that can lodge these electronically.

If this affects you please contact Back to Business Bookkeeping about STP now so we can work with you to ensure your accounting system and practices will be compliant by the deadline.

For more information on STP go to the ATO here or click on the logo above.

If you, or a business you know of, require any additional assistance or have queries please contact Stephanie Clunies-Ross on 0414 661 151 or fill out our STP form.
